3 days to Bali and I havent packed yet!

Yes its true. I have yet to pack my stuff! They should make a movie after me, entitled 'The Procrastinator' (suddenly The Terminator theme song in my head).

Anyway, this morning I had a sudden panic. I thought my passport dah expired. I was so so worried. Went to the place where I keep my passport and pheeuw.. It expires in April 2014. Seriously people, check your passport's lifetime before you travel. This is to avoid unnecessary panic and sweat that I went through.

The passport drama aside, I would like to reveal my accommodations for the 5 nights in Bali (mainly in Ubud). We'll be staying at Viceroy Bali, Five Elements and Harris Resort. Super duper psyched! Here are some pictures from the websites. In a week's time, I'll have my own pictures of these places. Yay!

Aya Recommends: Bedroom

Have you ever been punished and sent to your room before? Next time when mom says 'You've been a naughty kid. You're grounded. You are spending your weekend in the bedroom!', dont be sad. Coz we have just the Bedroom for you!

Bedroom is a new upcoming club which is comfy enough for you to sit back and catch up with your friends (pillows included), eat, drink and dance to the cool selection of music.

I went to Bedroom last weekend while I was in KL after my sister suggested I go and take a peek. Love the music as it was not normal dance music, it was sorta rock-ish. Me digs it. Check out the photos courtesy of their website (I did take photos with my mobile phone but it was kinda dark, ok very dark actually).

Weekend Jalan-jalan

Woot woot! It's Friday! For those of you who dont work on weekends, this is probably the most favorite day of the week! It's definitely my fav day... And today I am gonna jalan-jalan to Kuala Lumpur or locally known as KL.

I'm craving for some Nero Vivo's pizza which is at Jalan Ceylon. Might have that for dinner.

I love hangin out around Changkat Bukit Bintang, Jalan Ceylon, Jalan Mesui... It's lively, full of pretty lights and all sorts of people going to cafes, restaurants, pubs and discos. Sometimes I just hang out at the not so busy cafes and observe others while my girlfriends and I catch up on each others' dramaaa...

I love JB, it's where I belong but sometimes a girl just gotta jalan-jalan and meet her uptown friends. Enjoy your weekends dudes and dudesses <3

Jom Lepak Di KL!

PS: Here's a feel good picture for those of you not having such a feel good Friday. Keep smiling and you'll suck in the positive karma in no time!

Aya Recommends: Ooo Aaaaa Spa..

These past few weeks have been pretty hectic for me, workwise. And my body wasn't taking it too well. I kept experiencing backaches and neckaches. Constantly yawning and lembik at work. So, I decided to jalan-jalan carik spa!

I've passed by Spa Manja many times before and thought it was time to check it out.

I searched for the website and called them up for an appointment. They were very friendly and flexible to understood my needs. Once I arrived there, they welcomed me with Ginger Tea. I'm not a big fan of ginger, but somehow I am so bloody into Ginger Tea now seh... The Balinese environment is very calming and I forgot that I was in the heart of the town.

My treatment was called Recharger. And true to it's name, it left me feeling like a fully charged mobile phone and I was ready to continue with work work work!

Here's the breakdown of my treatment:

  1. 5 mins FOOT SOAK. If you are ticklish at the feet region, prepare to tahan geli! [Total bars charged: 1/6]
  2. 30 mins BODY SCRUB (u can choose either Ginger scrub to detox or Cucumber scrub if you wanna glow) [Total bars charged: 2/6]
  3. Quick rinse and then 15 mins of the feel good JACUZZI. At this point, my body felt so relaxed and I had a sudden urge to find out the price of a jacuzzi so I can get one for my home. I wish! [Total bars charged: 4/6]
  4. 15 mins in the STEAM ROOM. This was good for my nose as I was having some allergies. I could feel myself breathing in deeper as if my lungs were cleared from all the stress.. However, was dissappointed there were no McSteamy in the steam room. [Total bars charged: 5/6]
  5. After another quick rinse, my treatment ended with a 45 mins body massage. It totally healed my aches and pains (I know I sound like an old granma, oh well..) Uh Oh I met McDreamy as I dozed off :D [Total bars charged: 6/6]
Writing about the spa treatment that I just went to is making me wanna go and do it all again! But I'm gonna save myself for the authentic spa in Bali :))

Overall, the spa was amazingly beneficial to my body and soul. It reminded me of another spa I love to go to in Bangsar, KL (stay tune for the next Spa Recommendation).

Destination: Spa Manja, Johor Bahru
Treatment: Recharger
Price: MYR 148 nett

22 Days to my April Vacation !

I am so excited to announce that I'll be going on a vacation end of this month. Yahuuu! Flight tickets were bought on August 2010 and recently, my sister got awesome accomodation for us there. So the only thing there is to do is packing, changing $$, sorting out my job stuff, write a list for my cat sitter and oh yeah, Get excited! Do do dooo...

Wanna know where I'm heading to? What will I be doing there? Where will I be staying? What food will I be swallowing? Well, I'll give you some hints.

Jessica Biel, David Beckham, Tony Blair, Tara Reid, Claudia Schiffer, David Copperfield amongst many other celebrities have been there. Still dunno where I'm going? Elizabeth Gilbert found love there and wrote about it in her book Eat, Pray. Love (if you havent heard of this, please find the movie or book. It's an order from moi! ).

Well... for those of you still blurr, my holiday destination is Bali! In 22 days, I will be relaxing by the seaside, visiting artsy places, shopping for cultural handicrafts, stuffing my face with seafood and other local delicacies, rejuvenating with spas and much more! But before all that, I've gotta plan my itinerary and make sure I have enough cha-ching for everything.

My aim is to find myself spiritually on this trip.. (I sound like a hippie!)
But dont worry, I'm not gonna do heavy stuff like finding my chakra or whatnots.. I just want to relax, find myself, collect my thoughts, rethink my purpose and vision my future.

I hope to feel rested, all energised up after this trip. So not really doing heavy duty shopping. Instead, I want to pamper myself with spas, nature and cultural activities.

I will keep you guys and girls updated on the plans and details so you can plan your own trip to Bali soon..

PS: I am trying to mindset myself to feel happy and smile everyday to keep me going at work. So I hope this picture will make you smile together with me.. Enjoy your day !

My Kaki Jalan Tips : Footwear

If you are off for a vacation and planning to do some hardcore jalan-jalan, then the number 1 tip is to have proper footwear. Please for the love of God, do not wear stilettos or your Jimmy Choos when you're going on major gallivanting.

I love flip flops. It's casual and its goood for hot and humid weather like we have here in Malaysia. That's definitely my favorite footwear. Me digs it!

For some others who still wanna look stylish would go for flat shoes with fancy patterns. Me want a pair of this Chanel puhhlis...

Also good for cool and wet weather, Boots. Flat boots are good for rainy weather whilst the high heeled boots are simply fabulous. But it will give you a slight pain.. Kim Kardashian shows you how to travel glamorously, whatcha think?

There are more options for travelers, including sport shoes, wedges, and loads more. Take your pick. Choose something that you are comfortable with and make sure you look good in it. Try to avoid those blisters and bring spare plasters/ band aids.

Now that you have made your choice of footwear, Jom Jalan Cepat...!

Introduction to my memoirs or modernly known as Buhhhlog..

Hello! Halo! Assalamualaikum... If you are reading this and you are not my youtube-addict mom nor my party girl/ magazine editor sister of mine then... Yay! I have other readers!

Since this is the first post, it is vital that I warn you of the following:

Uno - My language is all over the place. I am a typical Johorean/ Malaysian, so please mind my language and slangs.

Dos - I refuse to travel light. I'm always prepared for the worst. So please do not nag about my luggage, end of discussion.

Tres - I love feedbacks so please comment away, but if you wanna send hate mails please leave your name so I can stalk you and shoot you (just kidding, but seriously...)

Cuatro - I am not good with technology so excuse the bad design or template thingy's on my buhhlog.. I will try to use my geek friends to beautify it. If they are too busy with their own buhlogs, then I will personally try to make it easy to read at least.

Since I dunno what comes after Cuatro, I'll leave you with Jom Ar Jalan!
